As of January 2025, Armenia’s population stands at 2.96 million – a 0.7% decrease compared to the previous year.

According to DataReportal Armenia, 64.1% of the population lives in urban areas, while 35.9% resides in rural regions.

In terms of gender distribution, women are the majority:

  • Women – 53.6%
  • Men – 46.4%
